The 4th MEDTEC GRAND PRIX KOBE WEB seminar is now open for audiences!

The 4th MEDTEC Grand Prix KOBEWe are now accepting applications for entry teams for the DEMO DAY to be held on October 9, 2021. [Application deadline: Friday, July 9.

　In the field of drug discovery in Japan, seeds are often sought from overseas, which has delayed the creation of an ecosystem in which unique technological seeds can be born and nurtured in Japan. On the other hand, it is also true that much research and development in the life science field, including biotechnology, medicine, and medical devices, is being conducted in Japan.
　Therefore, MEDTEC Grand Prix KOBE will focus on Japan's technological seeds and promote the creation of a new ecosystem where large corporations, small and medium-sized companies, venture companies, research institutions, universities, local governments, medical institutions, etc. work together in order to boost Japan's life science capabilities 5 to 10 years from now. We will continue to work to build a new ecosystem that brings together large corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, venture companies, research institutions, universities, municipalities, and medical institutions.

　In this seminar, three of the past finalist teams will speak and give presentations on their technology and the world they are aiming for.
Through discussions on what kind of players and support are needed to build this ecosystem, we will also consider how to discover and nurture Japan's own technology seeds in the life science field and how to create a new medical-pharmaceutical industry.

　Teams and researchers who are considering entering the competition, as well as companies that wish to create new businesses or discover research seeds in the MedTech area are cordially invited to participate.
