[Call for Audience] [6/7] Agri-Tech Grand Prix 2023 Entry Seminar will be held!

Tech Planter, organized by LIVERNESS, Inc., aims to "solve unsolved "deep issues" in seven fields, including manufacturing, agriculture, and biotechnology, together with researchers, venture companies, and large corporations, through "Deep Tech," a collection of science and technology. Our goal is to solve unsolved problems in seven areas, including manufacturing, agriculture, and biotechnology, through "Deep Tech," the collective power of science and technology. We are currently accepting applications for the Tech Planter entry teams for fiscal year 2023. The deadline for application is Friday, July 7.

We are pleased to announce an entry seminar aimed at encouraging interest in one of the areas, the agri-tech domain. Focusing on food production, which is indispensable for the maintenance of social infrastructure, the agri-tech area will provide an opportunity to think about how to create a scientific collective to deal with increasingly complex issues such as food production to meet the needs of a growing world population, food diversification, and the shift to sustainable industries. This program will create an opportunity to

We will discuss how the Tech Planter was utilized by researchers and venture companies that actually entered the Agri-Tech Grand Prix.

This presentation will discuss some of the key concepts that are important in advancing solutions to issues through agri-tech.

We look forward to the participation of many people, including researchers interested in social implementation, venture companies seeking business growth, business companies seeking business collaboration with academia and venture companies, and production sites considering technology introduction.

Mr. Misao Itoga

Representative Director and CTO, Japan Moth Factory, Inc.

Agri-Tech Grand Prix 2018_Grand Prize

D. from Hiroshima University in 2002, he has been a researcher at the RIKEN Plant Science Center since 2003 and a senior researcher at the Center for Environmental Resource Science at the same institute since 2013. He received the Incentive Award from the Bryophyte Society of Japan, the Mining Industry Association of Japan Award, etc. In 2019, he spun out and founded JAPAN MOSS FACTORY, Inc. and was adopted by NEDO NEP 2019 and certified as a social experiment implementer by the Ichikawa Future Creation Conference. Mr. Kensuke Kageyama

Professor, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University

Agri-Tech Grand Prix 2021 Kubota Prize, Sompo Japan Prize

D. in Advanced Interdisciplinary Engineering from the University of Tokyo. After engaging in research on nondestructive evaluation of various materials using acoustic emissions (AE, elastic waves generated by sudden phenomena), he has developed acoustic and ultrasonic sensors using electrets. He is now working on the practical application of technology that uses electret sensors to capture the invisible movements of plants and microorganisms with AE and monitor their activities. By developing (self-made) the necessary equipment for AE measurement, such as sensor elements, device circuit boards, and analysis programs, in our laboratory, we are challenging activity monitoring in a variety of environments.
