Deep Tech Grand Prix 2023 Preliminary Report: Grand Prize Winner is Hundred Semiconductors Inc.

The Deep Tech Grand Prix 2023 was held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Center of Garage to select the winning teams for the Grand Prize and the Company Prize.
Starting with the 2020 season, the Tech Planter will evolve its concept to "Deep Issue & Deep Tech Explorer," which will use "Deep Tech," a collection of science and technology, to solve unsolved "Deep Issue" problems. Tech Explorer," which is a collection of science and technology to solve "Deep Issues" through "Deep Tech.
In addition to the four judging criteria of "novelty, feasibility, potential to change the world, and passion," we have added a new criterion of "ability to expand overseas. The intent is to encourage the applicants to look globally from the early stage, and to accelerate new development through collaboration with the 1371 Alumni teams (as of September 1, 2023) and other overseas tech planters hosted by RIVANES.
On the day of the event, the 12 finalist teams of the Deep Tech Grand Prix, selected from among the 336 teams that applied for the Tech Planter 2023 competition, passionately presented their ideas for developing fundamental technologies that could lead to solutions to various social issues through the use of technology.
And the winner of the prestigious Grand Prize was Hundred Semiconductors Inc.
Hundred Semiconductors Inc. gave a presentation titled "Creating a New Era by Developing Semiconductors for Every Person. The company solves the problem of huge investments in the semiconductor industry, a high-tech industry. Using minimal fabs, which are ultra-compact semiconductor manufacturing ecosystems that do not require clean rooms, we will flexibly respond to customer and social needs and provide semiconductor devices as and when they are needed. He talked about his vision of creating a new era of semiconductors.
Although the concept of minimal fab has existed for some time, until now there has been no company dedicated to it. All the judges unanimously awarded the Grand Prize to this project in the hope that it will "create a new era from Japan.
