Report】Lifetech Grand Prix 2024: Grand Prize Won by ChatENT

The Lifetech Grand Prix 2024 was held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Center of Garage to select the winning teams for the Grand Prize and the Corporate Award.

The Tech Planter, launched in 2014, is promoting the concept of "Deep Issue & Deep Tech Explorer," which aims to solve unsolved issues (deep issues) with collective science and technology (deep tech) from 2020. On the day of the event, the 11 finalist teams of the Lifetech Grand Prix, selected from among 336 teams that applied for the Tech Planter 2024 competition, passionately presented their ideas for the development of fundamental technologies that could lead to solutions to various social issues through the use of technology.

And the winner of the prestigious Grand Prize wasChatENT（ChatENT is developing next-generation VR aural rehabilitation utilizing the knowledge of otolaryngologists, aiming to relieve the stress of hearing aid introduction and keep people with hearing loss connected to society through training that enables them to feel the effects of hearing aids. Our goal is to help people with hearing loss stay connected to society by providing them with training that allows them to feel the benefits. In response to the lack of hearing aids that people truly want to use, we are also working on the development of new bone-conductive hearing aids that are sleek in appearance.

Lifetech is a collection of science and technology to enrich life, life and living, and ChatENT's technology is a serious social implementation of technology to solve the problem of hearing loss that hinders communication between people, as nearly 2.5 billion people in the world are expected to have some degree of hearing loss by 2050*. The Grand Prize was selected based on the expectation that social implementation of technology to solve the problem of hearing loss, which hinders communication between people, is seriously required.

ChatENTalong with the Tech Planter Grand Prize winning teams in the other six areas,The Japan Society for Hyperdifferentiation 2025 Tokyo-Kanto Conference(March 7 and 8, 2025) to participate in a special pitch session. Furthermore, the two teams that excel in this session will participate in the TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2025. Through these initiatives, we aim to unite Japanese and Southeast Asian ventures, large and medium-sized companies to develop solutions to deep issues in Southeast Asia.
