Report】The 2nd Tohoku Tech Plan Grand Prix: Grand Prize Won by 3D Architech, Inc.

The 2nd Tohoku Tech Plan Grand Prix was held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Urbannet Sendai Chuo Building YUI NOS 4F, and the winning teams were selected for the Grand Prize and the Company Prize.

LIVERNESS Corporation has designated six prefectures in the Tohoku region (Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima) as priority areas and has been promoting the Tohoku Tech Planter activities with the aim of discovering and fostering teams that will change the world from Tohoku with their science and technology and passion. This time, we held the "2nd Tohoku Tech Plan Grand Prix," a milestone of the program. The 12 finalist teams, selected from a total of 32 entries, gave presentations on the issues they are working to solve, their core technologies, business plans, etc., and discussed their subsequent development.

The Grand Prize was awarded to "3D Architech, Inc. (theme: Innovating Thermal Control Technology and Cooling Performance through 10x Fine Fabrication). With the aim of revolutionizing the metal manufacturing infrastructure, the team is developing cooling components using high-resolution metal manufacturing methods specifically for data centers while using existing lithography equipment, centered on gel-based metal 3D printing technology, with the goal of halving cooling costs. By reforming the structure of materials, we will achieve a reduction in energy consumption.
