Scientific and technological "seeds" are being created in universities, research institutes, and corporate laboratories, but it takes a lot of effort before they sprout into practical applications. The "Tech Planter," organized by LIVERNESS and its partners, is an ecosystem that aims to serve as a planter for discovering and sprouting these seeds into business. The Agri-Tech Grand Prix 2022 is a program aimed at discovering and fostering technological seeds and entrepreneurs in the real tech field (food, agriculture, environment, water resources, biomass, etc.).

    Part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo Graduate School. He has been involved in new business creation and smart kitchen related businesses at Cookpad for 6 years. He has supported SKS JAPAN (2017-) and Foodtech Venture Day (2019-) by Sigmaxis since their inception, and after working as an advisor for Sigmaxis, he will officially join in 2022.     After completing his Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Tokyo, he joined Japan Tobacco Inc. in 1989. He was engaged in research related to chemical sensory perception, such as taste and smell, and spent two years as a Visiting Scientist at the Monell Institute for Chemical Sensory Research in 1995. After returning to Japan, he worked on the development of D-spec (low odor tobacco products) technology, which was incorporated into more than 20 brands of products. After that, he served as Director of the R&D Planning Department, Director of the Product Development Engineering Department, and Director of the Central Tobacco Research Institute before assuming his current position in 2019.
