The 2nd Ishikawa Tech Plan Grand Prix: Grand Prize Won by QualitiZyme

The 2nd Ishikawa Tech Plan Grand Prix" was held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Ishikawa High Tech Exchange Center, and the winning teams for the Grand Prize and the Company Prize were selected.

The "Ishikawa Tech Planter" program is designed to discover and nurture passionate teams from Ishikawa Prefecture who will change the world through science and technology. In Ishikawa Prefecture, which boasts one of the nation's highest concentrations of higher education institutions and niche-top companies in the manufacturing industry, each support organization will work together to create a new industry from within the prefecture based on research results and technologies, thereby providing support that takes advantage of their respective strengths.

This program has been selected by the Ishikawa Industrial Creation Organization (ISICO) for the "2024 University Start-up Support Program".

The 2nd Ishikawa Tech Plan Grand Prix" was held on Saturday, November 30, and nine teams selected as finalists gave enthusiastic presentations. As a result of the judging by the panel of judges, we are pleased to announce that 11 corporate awards and the Grand Prize have been selected.

The prestigious Grand Prize was awarded to QualitiZyme (theme: Rapid Functionalization of Industrial Enzymes through Innovative Theoretical Design Technology). Enzymes are used in manufacturing processes in various industrial fields such as medicine, food, chemical industry, and agriculture. We proposed a technology to improve the efficiency, cost, and environmental impact of enzyme production by improving the thermostability and stability of enzymes and making them more functional for industrial use. I want to do research that will leave a beautiful planet for my daughter's generation. The Grand Prize was awarded to the winner of the first prize for their presentation, which was especially highly evaluated for its passion and determination to commercialize the technology.
