- SHIZUOKA TECH PLANTER is a program to discover science, technology, and business seeds that could create new industries in Shizuoka Prefecture, which boasts rich agricultural, forestry, and fishery resources and a large share of the manufacturing industry. The program also works with educational institutions to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs and researchers. The 8th Shizuoka Tech Grand Prix will be held with the aim of discovering and fostering teams that are passionate about changing the world from Shizuoka Prefecture.

- Have a vision to change the world or improve the world based on technological seeds in the real tech domain (manufacturing, robotics, mobility, IoT, artificial intelligence, materials, biotechnology, medicine, healthcare, food, agriculture, marine development, resources, environment, energy, etc.) and have the will to establish or develop new businesses. Those who are willing to start up or develop a new business.
- Both individual and team participation is acceptable. Even if you are not incorporated yet, you are welcome to participate.
- No limitation on the number of years of incorporation, even if the company is already a corporation.

We will review the submitted documents by May 16 (Fri.). We will ask you to submit information about your team, skills, passions, and future plans via web form and video. All applicants will be notified of the screening results and will receive feedback on their applications if they so desire.

Finalists determined
Interviews will be held for applicants who pass the document screening to brush up their presentations for the final round. In addition, interviews can be set up with partner companies for the purpose of business consultation and collaboration development.

8th Shizuoka Tech Plan Grand Prix Final Round
Contestants will give a 7-minute presentation and participate in a 7-minute Q&A session with a panel of judges from major institutions and partner companies in Shizuoka Prefecture. Finalist presentations will be semi-closed, and in addition to contestants and partner companies, local businesses and universities will participate. An awards ceremony will follow the judging.
