Team Basic Information

  • Grand Prix to be entered
  • Team Name/Company Name
  • the number of people
  • Base Area
  • Theme name
  • Brief description of the theme (140 characters)
  • What seems to fit in the business area
  • How is the hardware development progressing?
  • Are you planning a clinical trial?
  • (If from a university or research institute) Origin of the technology
  • List and description of patents related to the theme
  • Whether the company is incorporated or not
    • For yes Date of Incorporation
    • For yes Capital/operating funds
    • For yes Experience of receiving investment
    • If yes If you have already received investment, how much total have you received?
    • If no Do you wish to incorporate a joint stock company?
    • If no, what conditions, if any, do you have in mind for entering into a joint-stock company in the future?
Do you wish to receive investment
(If you wish to invest) Amount of investment desired
  • Website URL
  • Product Image

For a list and description of patents related to the theme

It would be easier to understand the patent if you can add the application number and a brief description: "Example: System and method for determining X from W. Patent Application 20****"

Example: System and method for determining X from W Patent Application 20****"

Amount of investment desired

The amount of investment desired is an open-ended question.

Example: One year's labor and prototype production costs: 15 million yen.

You may simply write "30 million yen," but please consider it in conjunction with a goal such as, "With this amount of money, we will be able to do Fat Fat Fat. If you are going to write a large amount of money in the dark, it would be better to write a more realistic financial plan, such as "labor and material costs for two years.

About Product Images

There are plenty of examples on past convention pages. Product photos, business scheme diagrams/punch-ups, and images tend to be used. Company logos often do not provide enough explanation and should be avoided as much as possible. We receive a lot of information from the one image that accompanies your application. Please choose one that conveys your team's strengths and what you want to do and submit it. For example.

  1. Images, blueprints, or sketches of the actual product or prototype are acceptable.
  2. A diagrammatic representation of what will happen, such as a punch diagram, diagram, or model diagram

On the contrary, here's what you should stop doing

  1. Dissertation Figure
  2. Exporting a slide made by pasting several photos together

03

Vision for the future

  • Our vision for the future in a nutshell
  • Future Vision Details

Example of one word
I want to create a world where "A" is taken for granted, a world without "Fat", and a world where the disappearing "Fat" is preserved.

Here are some questions to help you compose your essay. What kind of world will usher in if the research is successful and the project continues? Whose problems will be solved and in what condition? Or, will people around the world be more interested in working on the project than ever before?

Sci-fi descriptions are also welcome!

04

Problem to be solved

  • In a word; social and industrial issues you want to solve
  • Details of the problem to be solved

If you self-identify as a "problem-solver," please be straightforward about that. Please include details about whose problems they are and what they have been paying for as an alternative to date.

Example
"Solve the xx problems that plague xx million people around the world, xx problems that have been neglected for xx years, and develop alternative technologies to reduce the cost of xx solutions that would cost xx yen with current technology."

On the other hand, for those who have been thinking about commercialization based on technological seeds and therefore think that a variety of issues can be solved, we recommend that you focus on "the first issue to be addressed". In the case of materials and fundamental technologies, there are often a wide range of possible applications, such as medicine, infrastructure, and food. How to choose the first issue is a case-by-case basis, but there are two ways to choose: the market's convenience, such as market size and ease of entry, and the startup's convenience, such as the possibility of developing a recent application, the existence of an existing example, or the founder's own commitment to the project.

Example
"xx problems in medicine using underutilized xx technology" and "xx problems solved by new xx technologies that are xx times more efficient than conventional ones."

05

core technology

  • In a few words; Core technologies and strengths (100 words or less)
  • Core Technology Details
  • Comparison with existing and third-party technologies

Example of one word
The world's first technology to turn X into Y within P seconds, and the first X technology in the A market to be diverted from the B industry and developed independently.

Please address the core technologies that are critical to achieving your "vision for the future" or that are fundamental to your "problem-solving" solution. Please clearly state how new it is (world's first, Japan's first, A market's first, our company's first). How it has been developed (e.g., researched at ◯◯◯ University for 15 years) will increase credibility.

Be sure to make comparisons with existing and other companies' technologies. If something can be expressed numerically, use numbers to make it more convincing. Differences in methods, algorithms, and parts used cannot be understood without a common measuring stick on the part of the reader, so please try to incorporate numerical comparisons as much as possible.

If you are worried that you do not have what can be called core technology at the moment, it would be better for the reader if you write honestly that you do not have any patented technology or know-how. However, we think it is important to show that you are ready to develop a unique core technology based on your knowledge and network.

Example
We don't have the technology to call it core technology, but we can leverage our business experience, network, programming assets, open source, farmland, our own factories, and sales channels to create our own unique know-how.

06

What we have made and research results

Example
We have written rough sketches of the product, conducted 100 interviews with customers, created a lab tester, applied for a patent, and submitted a paper, are in the process of designing for mass production, developed a demonstration machine and achieved xx times the industry standard in xx tests, and have equipment with a total construction cost of 30 million yen.

If you have demonstrated or created something before, describe it. If you have conducted a demonstration, it will be more persuasive if you specify the time period, subject, results obtained, and cost spent.

You may include a list of publications, conference presentations, etc. in your research results. However, since this is not a Grant-in-Aid review, you do not need to include all of them.

For web services, please enter the URL, even if it is a web-based initiative such as a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds.

If you have applied for a patent, you may reiterate it here and explain its position with other research results.

07

Problems in commercialization

A startup lacks people, goods, money, connections, etc. Please describe what is troubling you in some way and the nature of your sense of urgency to "get to the next stage if only I had this.

Example: "If we had another 5 million yen and 6 months, we could complete the mass production design, but we don't have enough funds."

08

Representative Information

  • Name (Representative)
  • Affiliation (Representative)
  • Biography and self-introduction (Representative)
  • What made you decide to commercialize the project?

Here are the types of reasons why we decided to commercialize the project.

(e.g., "I have loved deer since middle school, and I want to do business with them.

Example: "I couldn't stand still after experiencing the nursing care field.

Desire to break out of the status quo, e.g., "I felt a wall that cannot be achieved by the university alone.

09

(Optional) What are you most passionate about, a challenge that makes you excited, a hypothesis that makes you say "If I do X, then Y will happen? hypothesis, or "why?" If you are a "Why not?
