He has supported SKS JAPAN (2017-) and Foodtech Venture Day (2019-) by Sigmaxis since their inception, and after working as an advisor for Sigmaxis, he will officially join in 2022. As a foodtech specialist, he is well versed in domestic and international startups and provides industry insights such as chaos maps. He also serves as a part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo Graduate School, where he designs and implements curriculum for startup-style new business creation. Currently, with the theme of environmental revitalization, he aims to create innovations in the environmental field, aiming for a society where people and nature can coexist and prosper together.

    After completing his Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Tokyo, he joined Japan Tobacco Inc. in 1989. He was engaged in research related to chemical sensory perception, such as taste and smell, and spent two years as a Visiting Scientist at the Monell Institute for Chemical Sensory Research in 1995. After returning to Japan, he worked on the development of D-spec (low odor tobacco products) technology, which was incorporated into more than 20 brands of products. After that, he served as Director of the R&D Planning Department, Director of the Product Development Engineering Department, and Director of the Central Tobacco Research Institute before assuming his current position in 2019. He utilized his previous experience to support the company from the accounting side, and was appointed as a director in 2006 and as a managing director in 2009. He served as Managing Director, General Manager of the Administration Division and General Manager of the Corporate Planning Office, and was appointed President and Representative Director of the Company in April 2011.
