From Professor to Manager for the sake of the Earth: A Case Study of One Venture Riddled with Expectations and Challenges

CEO and Representative Director, Fight Lipid Technologies, Inc.
    Hiroyuki Ota
In April 2021, two years before his retirement, Mr. Ota established Phytolipid Technologies, Inc. as a Tokyo Tech venture, and after a period of dual employment as a university faculty member, he is now active as CEO. While university-launched ventures are highly anticipated as a pillar of venture creation in Japan, their development and growth is fraught with many challenges. As a person who has been involved in such ventures, I would like to introduce how we are tackling these issues.
