- At universities, research institutes, and corporate laboratories, the "seeds" of science and technology are being born, and it takes a lot of time and effort before they sprout into practical applications. The "TECH PLANTER" organized by Leave a Nest with its partner companies is an ecosystem that aims to discover these seeds and serve as a planter to turn them into businesses. Our program in INDONESIA aimed at discovering and nurturing Deep Tech seeds and entrepreneurs.
- Target

- Early stage startups and pre-startup researchers’ team or individual in Deep Tech Field
- Mature startups or SMEs seeking collaborators are also welcome, even if they are close to mass production or PMF establishment.
- Visionaries that aim to change the world and/or their own country to a better place based on the science and tech based seeds
- Those who are interested in the Japanese market or collaboration with Japanese corporations.

Application deadline & 1st selection
After our closing the application window, a panel of judges consisting of Leave a Nest and its partners will review the applications.
Applicants will be asked to submit information about their team, technology, passion, and future vision via web form.
All applicants will be notified of the results of the screening process and will receive feedback on their applications.
In addition, online individual interviews will be held for those who wish to participate in the presentation review.

Announcement of finalists
Selected Finalists will be announced in the middle of June.
For applicants who pass the selection, interviews will be held to brush up their presentations for the final DEMO DAY.
In addition, it is possible to set up interviews with partner companies for the purpose of business consultation and to develop collaboration projects.

Chief judge Director, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin
- Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin received his Bachelor Degree in Electronic System Engineering at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT UTM). Before joining Leave a Nest Malaysia, he worked as RF Optimization Engineer and responsible for 2G/3G/LTE KPI Performance analyzing, reporting with recommendation of KPI improvement. Based on his experience in the telecommunication sector, he saw the gap of technology implementation in rural areas especially in the agriculture sector. He would like to bridge this by implementing new technology in the agriculture sector and nurturing a younger generation to become involved in this sector. At Leave a Nest Malaysia, Zaim is in the Education Development Division.

As an Ecosystem Enabler, He is active as the VP of Startup Bandung Community, Supervisor of Bumi Scholar Community, and Cofounder of Business Initiative Movement (BIM), and support many other startup/business communities. As the Chief of DEF Sharing Vision (a top IT consulting firm in Indonesia), he supports many digital enterprises.

- Ms. Risma attahatin Muizzullah is a policy Analyst at the Ministry of Industry, Republic of Indonesia since 2009. Experienced in the development of electronic and telematics SMIs, industrial digitalization and the entrepreneurs development program. Initiator and Chief Executive of Startup4industry. Startup4industry is a start-up acceleration program as a technology provider for Indonesian industry. Started in 2018, and has financed 40 implementation projects worth IDR 2.29 billion. The goal of the program is to form an ecosystem of technology solutions for industry and society.

Vice Chairperson II, Council of Indonesian Digital Transformation in Industry (WANTRII)Mr. Ir. Alexander Ludi Epifanijanto
- With a background in mechanical engineering, he worked for several years in marketing and business development at major multinational companies such as Black & Decker, Smith Groups, Schlumberger, and Tatung before deciding to study European Economic Integration in Pisa, Italy. After a few years at the European Commission (DG ENTR), he moved to Switzerland as the Export Director for the chemical company SIGMA, while pursuing a postgraduate degree in Lugano. During the European crisis in 2009, he spent a significant amount of time with the startup ecosystem in Europe and, together with ETH Zurich last year, initiated the AETP (accelerator program) between Switzerland and Indonesia.

- Shogo Ishikawa is the Vice President and Director of SOMIC Management Holdings Inc., where he leads global business transformation and new venture initiatives. He also serves as the Representative Director of SOMIC Transformation Inc., a company he established in 2021 to create new businesses beyond the automotive components sector. Prior to his current roles, Shogo gained extensive experience in the automotive industry. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he joined a domestic automotive manufacturer, where he was involved in production management at a four-wheel vehicle factory and worked as an expat in India. He later joined SOMIC Ishikawa Inc. and played a key role in driving the business reorganization of the SOMIC Group during a period of significant transformation in the automotive industry. Shogo holds an MBA from GLOBIS Graduate School of Management, which he obtained in 2018.

In 2015, he joined TERAJU and currently holds the position of Senior Director for the Strategic Delivery Department. Under his adept leadership, he successfully managed Facilitation Fund (FF) TERAJU, valued at RM2.0 billion. During his tenure, 550 projects received approval, resulting in a total investment of RM14.81 billion and the creation of over 10,000 jobs.Notable initiatives under his purview include overseeing programs like Syarikat Bumiputera Berprestasi Tinggi (TERAS) and the launch of the RM1.0 billion Dana Kemakmuran Bumiputera (DKB) in 2021. This initiative provides grants of up to RM2.0 million for qualified Bumiputera companies across various sectors.
