ABOUT
Purpose
At universities, research institutes, and corporate laboratories, the "seeds" of science and technology are being born, and it takes a lot of time and effort before they sprout into practical applications. The "TECH PLANTER" organized by Leave a Nest with its partner companies is an ecosystem that aims to discover these seeds and serve as a planter to turn them into businesses. TECH PLANTER World is aimed to nurture startups from all around the world and using this demo day to further connect to the rest of the world
Target
  • Early stage startups in Real Tech Field
  • Mature startups or SMEs seeking collaborators are also welcome, even if they are close to mass production or PMF establishment.
  • Visionaries that aim to change the world and/or their own country to a better place based on the science and tech based seeds
  • Startups interested in collaboration with Europe or Japan or ASEAN region

He worked for a software provider, a consulting firm before joining Mitsubishi Corporation, and has been engaged in Digital & Technology businesses across multiple business domains in several counties such as Australia and North America in Mitsubishi Corporation since 2016. Current his focus area is innovation and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence/Artificial General Intelligence and Quantum Computing.

    Sophian Abdul Rahman is the CEO and co-founder of Delightex Pte Ltd, a research and business development venture builder firm that seeks out innovative ways of capturing Delightful Moments. Before heading up Delightex, Sophian had served in senior leadership positions in publicly listed biotechnology companies. His other experiences include a myriad number of roles in Singapore’s CapitaLand Group and Singapore Government’s Ministry of Trade & Industry agencies. Sophian graduated with a Master of Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London.

    Mr. Akitaka Wilhelm Fujii
    As president of Real Tech Holdings, Akitaka’s leads all operations of the company. He also spearheads the companies initiatives on impact investing and acts as steering committee of the Japan Impact-driven Financing Initiative that is promoting impact investment among financial institutions on Japan.
    Before joining Real Tech Holdings in 2020, he was at EIT Climate-KIC, a European organization that transforms ideas into climate-addressing businesses. While at the company, Akitaka was involved in strategy development, auditing and project evaluation. He also led the companies efforts on climate impact assessment and change management program on people. Akitaka has a master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Tokyo.
